SOG Tomcat 3.0 Kraton or Carbon?

I've been looking at the Tomcat 3.0 lately. I like the price of the kraton version but I'm not sure if it will hold up to regular wear and tear. Should I wait and find a carbon fiber version?

I've got a Tomcat3 with the Kraton and it seems functional, but I also wonder how well the Kraton would hold up with heavy use.....my guess is that it will probably hold up pretty well.

I would have preferred a CF, but I missed out on getting one when the limited run of 450 came up. If you can find one at a good price, it would be an excellent choice.

I wish SOG would put the CF back into production.

I highly recommend the Tomcat in carbon fiber. You won't be disappointed.

The carbon version does look slippery. Is there any grip to the handle?

The kraton is OK but it's kinda sticky when coming out of a pocket. And the kraton eventually wore out on my two Stingrays, so I made G-10 scales for them. I plan to make a set of micarta scales for mine.
