I personally think its a great blade, except as a chopper. The handle doesnt have much grip for swinging, and is liable to slip out of your hand completely. Not that its especially slippery, but there is very little difference in texture throughout the handle, with only very small finger notches. It feels very smooth, and I like that feel personally. Just wouldnt try any massive swings with it.
I'm in agreement with Johnny50, the Trident is way too light for a chopper.
But it sure is great for everything else.... a very impressive addition to your Tactical Tableware. I've used my SOG Bowie (the S1) many times as a steak knife.
i own the following sogs ; flash 2 graphite serrated , flash 2 zytel serrated , seal 2000 , seal pup , desert dagger , government agent , mini pentagon , and a satin bladed plain edge trident folder
