I have the oppertunity to either buy the SOG FUSION SALUTE KNIFE for 25 bucks vs. the Kershaw Groove 1730 knife for 30 bucks..which would u all choe if u had to pick one?

I would go with the Kershaw Groove 1730 between those two.

I only know what i read about the SOG FUSION SALUTE KNIFE ..its a lock back vs the Groove's frame lock..both seem like solid knives..but the kershaw's blade does seem to be made of a better steel.

Dude I don't know anything about kershaw, BUT i have heard a few horror stories about the Sog Fusion line. Go take a peak in the Sog sub forum about the sog fixation bowie that broke, and the resulting customer service nightmare.

In general Kershaw has way more bang for your buck knives, blurring the line between high end and medium cost knives. The G-10 Tyrade is a perfect example. They are a company that has the tendency to push what can be done in production knives.
For that they have my support.

Kershaw all the way, excellent product and great customer service. I wouldn't purchase a Sog folder personally, no problem with there fixed blades though.
