This is a catch and release for me, purchased here on the forums as I decided I might be crazy about GECs (I am, just not so much this one). It’s a beautiful knife, was gonna give it to myself on my birthday, but I can tell it’s not me and it’ll just end up living in a drawer. I’d usually want a fixed blade for something this size.

But it is really gorgeous in person. Stainless, apparently 420HC (not marked). It’s in the same condition I bought it in, which I think is unused. It seems pristine. I didn’t use it at all. No cutting, no carrying, no sharpening by me. I don’t have any other Ben Hogans to compare it to, but I’d call the opening “refined” … doesn’t take a huge effort. Everything snaps pleasantly. I have no reason to think it’s not typical of these.

It didn’t have the aluminum acorn yellow lanyard when I got it (not a great loss that I can see, but take note) but as a small bonus I’ll throw in the slip I bought for it, which has only been used to keep this knife in, never carried. (I was keeping it in there so it would be nice and molded by the time my birthday came.)

It does have the original tube, though the knife was in bubble wrap. I’ll wrap it in some wax paper from a different GEC.

It’s my first sale here, so trying to make it an attractive price. I’ve bought this and another GEC here and became a full member yesterday for this purpose. Shipping included within the US. PayPal G&S, please.

SOLD

Open to trade since I can’t kid myself I’m not going to buy more stuff at some point. Kind of looking for a nice American Barlow, Case TL-29 or other nice electrician, or some other GEC that isn’t a 65 or a cotton sampler.

Thanks for looking.
