Hi guys,
Here is something little bit different than usual from me.

Blade is forged from 5/8" round piece of 1095 and cleaned after forging, so there is no forging marks on this one.
I wanted to make it look "old", so blade is longer etched in ferric chloride and antler is dyed with potassium permanganate.
It looks really great, polished brass bolster gives nice contrast to blade and handle. Butt part of the handle is closed with another antler piece.
Tang goes 3/4 to the handle. It's glued with epoxy and secured with brass pin.

Dimensions are:

Blade length - 4 [SUP]1/4[/SUP]"
Blade width - 1 [SUP]3/16[/SUP]"
Thickness at the back of the spine - 5/32"
Overall length - 9"

Handmade 5/32" thick tooled vegetable leather sheath, made for vertical right hand carry

Wow, perfect, are you going to make any more of these?? Maybe in a longer green river skinner pattern perhaps? If so I'll take one thanks

Thank You.
That pattern looks interesting and fun to make. I'll start to forge after summer vacation, so i'll try to make one at the end of August.
