I tried something new with this one, I hope you all like it.
Steel: 1095
Thickness: 1/8"

Scales: Bolivian rosewood with a cocobolo bolster, JB welded on
Brass pins to help with shearing forces. It's a nice, comfortable blade, well suited for camping or hunting uses. It comes with a white sheath. I'm asking SOLD shipped, paypal me at sambacurin@gmail.com

Can you tell me how you heat treat or do you send that part out? Nicely done.
 
Thank you, I do the heat treat myself, I have a small firebrick forge I use. I do it at night so I can see the colors very clearly. I keep it at a nice cherry-organgish red, which should be ~1525-1550 degrees for about 6 or 7 minutes then I quench in 180 degree canola oil. I always do a file test and it skates even when I apply pressure. I temper twice at 400 degrees for an hour. I'm not sure of an exact rockwell number but it's sufficiently hard. I do a brass rod test and there's no chipping or rolling as well as chopping a 2x4 and it still shaves hair off my arm if that gives you any idea of it's performance.
