Hi all,
I've have a really special knife up for grabs today. The blade is San Mai that I got from a small company called Dion Damascus. They make really awesome San Mai in all kinds of combinations. This one has a Nitro V stainless steel core with a copper Mokume jacket. It gives it a super unique texture to the jacket. I love San Mai steel to begin with but this steps it up a notch. The core is perfectly centered and it's a very thin blade that has a bit of flex. It's designed to be a pure slicer.
The handle material is beautiful K&G stabilized spalted apple. It feels warm in hand and finished up like glass.

OAL: 12.5" (315mm)
BLADE: 7.5" (190mm) long, 1.8" (48mm) heel height. It has been hand finished to 1200grit then etched to bring out the San Mai. The grind is hybrid full flat/convex which is down to 0.006" before sharpening.
STEEL: 0.078" (2.0mm) Nitro V San Mai with Copper Mokume jacket heat treated to RC62.
HANDLE: K&G Stabilized Spalted Apple with natural micarta and white G10 liners and white G10 pins.
PRICE: $SOLD Shipped USPS in the CONUS
International buyers welcome, shipping extra.
Paypal, check or money orders accepted.
