As for the handles, i'm not exactly sure what wood they are. The wood was given to me by a relative who is a stained glass artist and furniture maker. He told me it was either South American or African in origin. All I can tell you is that it is a hard, and slightly oily wood.

Looks like the wood is Jatoba - also known as Brazilian cherry.
Whatever the species it makes for a great looking knife.
They both are impressive :thumbup:
