Here are 2 small knives forged from ball bearings and heat treated as 52100.
Please note, these are made from "regular ball bearings" not the ones from M18 "Hellcat"

After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are made in satin finish with scotch brite.

Here they are:

Blade width - 28mm (1,10")
Thickness at the back of the spine 2,7mm - (0,106")

Handle material: Textolite (vintage phenolic micarta over 30 years old), yellow polypropylene liners, 4mm (0,157") brass pins and 8mm (0,314") lanyard tube.

Handmade 4mm thick (0,157") vegetable leather sheath

I will take #1. They look great! Please confirm it is still available and I will send funds.

I am not familiar with this steel--is it on the soft or hard side? Does it rust easy?

Thanks!

It is still available.

52100 is a high carbon, chromium containing low alloy steel that is through hardening and known as "ball bearing steel". It is not stainless steel, so it needs care and maintenance.

Please email me for details.

Thank You,
