STILL training my new finish man (my son), and STILL burning through Kydex in the process...
I have two (2) sheaths for the BOSS STREET (the original model with the tiny choil, before the other Boss Street models that came out after that).
These sheaths are functionally excellent, an audible click when removing the knife, but cosmetically they are poor. Mostly, the bandsaw work and the burnishing is a disaster. He was playing with a concept that making these asymetric edges would make it easier to grip with gloves on and so on. It is what it is, but they do the job well. If you want a sheath that will secure your knife and you are not concerned about appearances, this is a low cost way to go. I am trying to salvage a few dollars in Kydex, so I will try to sell these to the cost conscious who may not be too concerned about appearance.
Although they are cosmetically poor, they are functionally very sound. All I can say is, consider the price, you get what you pay for. These are both sandwich style, not fold overs, with 1/4 inch rivets. They are both black .093 Kydex and are both set up for large tek-loks, but tek-loks are NOT included. Once again, these have a good, secure grip on the knife, with spacers used in construction to protect the blade yet provide a snug fit. They will definitely do the job, they just won't look so pretty while doing it....
To save anybody from being embarrassed for buying these, I will give preference to PMs regardless of "I'll take it" on the thread.
$16.00 PayPal or M.O. gets one sheath shipped to you in CONUS, no returns if based on cosmetic grounds.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: These sheathes were cast using the original Boss Street, the one with the very small, almost non-existent choil. They might not fit the other models that came after.
