Hey guys,
Long story short, I have become really interested in collecting watches recently, and it turns out that watches are a lot more expensive than knives!
I bought this in ~90% condition and sent it to the spa when I received it, where they re-blasted the handles, cleaned it, exchanged the washers, etc. Then I carried it for about a year off and on, heres the info (warning long post, scroll down for pictures):
THE BAD:
- Current pocket clip is badly scratched (new one included, see below)
- Pivot screws have slight scratching
- Light snail trails on ends of handles
- Tiny ding on the non-lock end near the glass breaker, was blasted over at the spa but still visible
- Lanyard is slightly frayed from carrying
- Its dusty with pocket lint
THE GOOD:
- Original design (no lock bar stop, no Idaho made stamp, big 4-hole pivot, big jimping on blade)
- Original S30V blade in fantastic condition, its still sharp after a year of opening mail!
- Lockup is late 80% (normal ceramic ball lockup) and bank vault solid as per usual CRK.
- Blade dead center. No rubbing at all.
- Original warranty, instructions, box, birth card, etc. all included.
- March 18, 2009 birth date
- I personally have never tried to mess with this knife by unscrewing/sharpening/polishing/etc. The only effect I have put on it is the standard wear and tear from pocket carry.
EXTRAS:
- BRAND NEW Large CRK Pocket Clip and Screw. I bought this when I sent it to the spa a year ago, and it turns out I never put it on as they re-blasted the original. Still in the unopened baggie with paper on it.
- Extra set of perforated bronze washers. Again, bought from the spa. I didnt know they replaced them for free so now you get an extra set.
- Brand new pivot screw kit. This came with the knife when I bought it from the original owner. Includes an alan wrench and the two plastic 4-prong things to unscrew the knife, as well as a tube of red loctite.
I am asking PayPal ONLY (safest for everyone) $475 USD, or best reasonable offer, for everything in the CONUS ONLY. This includes fees, and shipping with signature confirmation and insurance from Utah. I have done a trade on here before, and bought from Yangdu in the HI forum as well as from the Gear forum. I am willing to send more pictures or a timestamp if necessary.
