After a shower last night I found my knock around Victorinox watch for work had a small micro climate or rain forest on the inside of it. Not so good for quartz, and I absolutely have a watch at work. I dont have anything else to liquidate right now, so I have to turn this dandy little caper or paring knife from Brian. This was a Blade show left over that I was able to pick up. Didnt even hardly get to use it for anything really befitting of its capabilities. I did slice some strawberries with it and was slick as snot. Take notice that it is 3/32" stock, etched O1. Made for slicing. Carbon Fiber scales, which are rare for Brian I think and thin yellow liners. 7" OAL or so, blade is about 3.25". It comes with a leather sheath by Brian and is signed on the back by him.
Also included is a kydex sheath by me, at first I was going to have Brian send it to someone to have kydex made for it. He talked me out of it, because Kydex is not too kind to the etched finish on the O1 blade. Curiosity got the better of me and I have dabbled with kydex before but wasnt sure I could do anything for this knife because of the slim profile. Wanted to try and the result came out pretty well IMHO, fit is acutally pretty nice and I accounted for space to keep the blade contact to the minimum. Like Brian said though, it did already put some very fine marks in the blade near the spine which dont show in the pictures. There is oil on the blade in the pictures, and when you wipe the blade down with oil the marks almost dissappear, thats how fine they are. So you can use the Kydex or trash it, it was a fun experiment.
