Happy Tuesday everyone! Below is the big brother to the 4" Cowboy I posted yesterday.
Basically the same everything but with a little more blade length, and no crack on the handle.

Specs:
A2 @ 59-60 HRC
0.175" x 1.5" x 10" OAL.
5" tip to scales with a high sabre grind and forced patina for rust protection. Not very dark, and the patterning is more subdued than the 4" version.
Weight is approx. 11.8 oz. and perfectly balanced at the front of the index finger.
Handle is 3-piece with a beautiful locally sourced mystery wood and handmade denim & burlap Micarta.
- Very thick and hand-filling measuring 1.2" at the swell but nicely contoured and rounded for comfort. Great for XL+ sized hands.
- Multiple treatments/soaks with Tung Oil and Orange Oil, and sanding to 1200 grit for a smooth finish.
Kydex sheath with leather overstrap and removable/reversable dangler designed to accommodate vertical or horizontal carry.
- Pretty tight on insertion and removal due to the flare at the front of the handle

Please enjoy...

And believe good work deserves acknowledging....👍......

Another beautiful piece, Bill. Love your style, as you know. You have come a long way in a short time, and were clearly meant to do this. Always with complimentary sheath work to complete the vision. Very impressive! I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Thank you, Jon! I really appreciate your comments; however, it's been 2 years since you became my very first customer and honest reflection has made me question how much, if at all, I have actually improved. Not for lack of thought, effort or time spent on each piece (I'm still very slow), but I constantly worry that every blade I work on falls short in some way. Honestly, yours are still two of my all-time favorite pieces, and the leatherwork on your Monster Hunter is easily the best I've done. Thanks again for kicking off my journey.

Awesome knife. Looking forward to purchasing something from you in the future.
Thank you very much! I've got a few older blades left that I will be reposting in hopes to get them out the door. Currently working on the next two to go out, but they are quite a change from everything I've done so far.
BTW, there is a 4" version of this blade that I posted a few days ago...still available
