Gentlemen,
I haven't done one of these for a while so I thought I'd finish one up for you all to check out. It's my harpoon style hunter in 52100 steel pared with Barbwire micarta and Amboyna Burl bolsters. The blade is full flat grind down to 0.015", hand finished to 600 grit and the swedge is unsharpened. I'll be making a pouch style leather sheath to go with it in the next day or two.
SPECS:
OAL: 9.75"
BLADE: 4.5" long, 1.5" wide. Compound Full flat and convex grind down to 0.015", hand sanded to 600 grit. The spine thickness is 0.18" and has been slightly rounded.
STEEL: 0.18" 52100 steel heat treated to RC61 with double temper.
HANDLE: Barbwire micarta, stabilized Amboyna Burl bolsters, black canvas micarta liners/spacer and pins.
SHEATH: Handmade pouch style leather.
