Hey guys,
I've just finished this hunter with some unbelievable Red Mallee Burl. This is very dense burl, it was like working with Ironwood. The figure in this wood is truly remarkable, I hope the pictures capture it adequately. The blade is 52100 heat treated by Peter's and a full flat grind. The edge is convex down to 0.009". It is hand sanded to 600 grit. The sheath is handmade stacked leather.
SPECS:
OAL: 9"
Blade: 4" long, 1.5" wide, full flat grind that's convex down to 0.009".
Steel: 0.156" 52100 heat treated by Peter's to RC61
Handle: Red Mallee Burl, black micarta pins and liners.
Sheath: Handmade stacked leather.
