Hi all,
I've got another 26C3 Nakiri with hamon up for grabs here today. The handle is African Blackwood with a side cut Amboyna Burl ferrule that has sapwood for a very cool two toned look. The blade is 26C3 carbon steel heat treated to RC63-64 with vivid hamon. The grind is full convex to aid in food release and the edge is down to 0.005" before sharpening.
SPECS:
OAL: 355mm (14")
BLADE: 185mm (7.25") long, 50mm (2") heel height Full convex grind down to 0.005", hand sanded to 1000 grit, etched and polished to reveal vivid hamon. The spine and Choil are rounded for comfort.
STEEL: 2mm (0.078") 26C3 carbon steel heat treated to RC63-64.
HANDLE: African Blackwood with two toned Amboyna Burl ferrule. Black G10 cap and spacers with copper accent spacer.
