Very nice!! The sheath is especially good compared to many (most?) :)

Can you share any details on heat treat and blade hardness?
Thanks,
John

John F. John F. I heat treated this in a small PID controlled Paragon Kiln. The recipe was 1525F soak for 10 mins, Warmed Canola Quench, 2x 1hr temper at 350.

I don't have a hardness tester. After quench, I did check that it hardened with a 65HRC Tsobosan hardness tester file. Without a real tester, I can't give a specific number. The 60HRC Tsobosan 'seemed' to skate and the 65HRC cut in for what that is worth.

LMT66 LMT66 Not yet. My next batch I was planning on at least reducing the size of the sharpening choil. A recommendation from a forum member was that a smaller diameter notch would go better with the size of the blade.

I can make some without the choil too, though I never seem to set the edge as well without one. Any color preferences?
