You just don’t see enough Kepharts around these parts so here's another of my tributes to the iconic blade in 1/8" 8670. A couple of years ago someone asked about a shorter version than my standard 5” blade so this is one of them.

I stayed as faithful to the original as I could, including the profile (of course), lightly convexed to the spine and flared front scales. In general "everything that needs to be there is, and nothing is there that doesn't need to be" (paraphrased from one of the articles I studied).

Dimensions 9 1/4” OAL and 1 3/8” tall, 1 3/16” blade– 4 1/4” from tip to scales – Hand sanded to P1200 grit. Edge before sharpening was .012” or so and it is very sharp. Balances behind the front pin.

The scales are Bubinga sanded to 1200 grit with green fiber liners and 1/8” stainless pins + one 3/16” mosaic pin. The handle feels great in my average size hand and will fill a larger hand as well. The Tracker sheath is a snug fit with a retention cam in the welt.

Priced at only $OLD to your US door, and of course your satisfaction is my only priority. I can accept paypal G&S, check or MO, and the price includes fees and free priority shipping in the US.

Thanks so much for looking! Please feel free to comment, ask anything here or via PM.

John asked me to give some detail on my statement above. I thought I would share that.

"It varies based on style of knife and even my intended use. I am sick for a tip that reminds me of the early Germanic Seax. It is hard to explain but it is a subtle spear style where the spine drops slightly more. For this style knife, I want a slicer- full height grind and slight reduction to spine means this will be a slicer. In the handle this knife is slim up front so I can use a light pinch grip for working around bone with the tip but also has that little flare that I can push against. The taper to the rear means I have a very secure grip when slicing back even with a light hold.

Having had one of your knives before, I know the handle will be melted and no hotspots. I feel it is going to be a great, light and agile knife."

Knife arrived. I have to say, design features, attention to detail, fit and finish- all add up to an excellent knife/sheath and an incredible value.

Hi Bill that's great I hadn't followed tracking yet today. Glad you got it and are happy and thanks for the vote of confidence!
