I’ve decided to possibly let go of my Mike Draper Full Custom Sabra XL. The blade is a hand rubbed, hand ground slightly recurved S30V and the overall length of this knife comes in at over 12”. The blade runs on some custom made oversized PB washers and the action is buttery smooth (idk how he managed that with such a large blade - but see video)! The scales are brown canvas micarta with 6AL4V titanium bolsters, liners, pocket clip, and hand signed backspacer. This knife is a fully custom, hand-made 1off larger version of his smaller production and custom Sabra’s. It is beautifully constructed for everyday use and/or self defense and for such a large knife it actually carries quite well. The knife was originally designed and built in 2005-06 by Mike Draper (ABS Mastersmith, custom knifemaker, and designer for Spyderco) and Rhon Mizrachi (a Krag Maga Instructor and Specialist) and was designed specifically for the type of self-defense Rhon teaches. I’d like to say a special thank you to Mike’s wife Audra for all of the information she gave me on this piece - she was super kind and helpful. Unfortunately, mike is not doing so well, so I would like to ask for your thoughts and prayers for their family. Both mike and Audra are ABS Mastersmiths and respected members of the knife community and make incredible knives. I am going to be asking less than the original table price of this knife which was $800 back in 2005-06. I just want to find this special piece a good home.
