I’ve never purchased a custom knife before. Do they come with any warranty? If it chips or breaks or anything? Or is it “as is”, all sales final? Sorry for my ignorance. And absolutely gorgeous work, sir.

Hi James,
Most of the time chipping can be fixed just by re-sharpening or re grinding it. Breakage would be unusual with normal usage. In the event of a knife failure due to workmanship defects I would replace the knife.

I do offer a warranty on my knives. Here is how it's worded on my website:

I warranty the knife against workmanship defects under normal usage, and will repair or replace the knife if necessary as long as I remain able to make knives. Natural handle materials may shrink, crack, and/or discolor with change in temperature, or humidity or age. As this is normal, expected, and can normally be avoided with maintenance these issues would not be covered under this warranty.

Thank you sir!

Amazing work Robert! Can't wait for my knife to be ready, keep just admiring what you have for sale in the mean time and trying to resist purchasing haha :)
