Not originally intended as a sale piece, but one for myself, it came up in conversation on the forum, and a kind member, bikerector bikerector has expressed interest in it, so this thread exists to give him the full benefit of a 100% above board transaction.

This AEB-L machete is my first one to date, and about my fifth large blade, so there has admittedly been a leaning curve. It was heat treated and tempered to RC 59 by Rob at Canadian Knife Maker Supply, and handled with peel ply black G10, carbon fiber pins and CA glue construction. The machete comes with a snap and friction fit Kydex sheath, and has been used for trail clearing on a handful of hikes in the Canadian woods, and when handled per the technique in "Machete 101 with Joe Flowers" handled and performed every bit as well as I had hoped it would.

Blade length 13", thickness 1/8", though it is a little thinner by the handle, due to having been worked on before I knew to install a glass platen on my grinder. It's not as drastic as it looks in the pic, due to the glare reflection towards the front of the spine.

Asking $OLD via PayPal, price includes expedited shipping, with full tracking and insurance. As mentioned in the first paragraph, bikerector has first dibs at this machete. Here are the photos, blemishes and all. Thanks for looking.

That’s a steal at the price! If you get tried of swinging it, please remember me.;)

Will do. From our discussions, it was mostly a test piece and we exchanged conversation about my desires for a stainless machete, and specifically something using AEB-L since it ranked quite high on Larrin's toughness charts on the knife steel nerds website. Should be nice for winter trail bombing/bushwhacking where I have more trouble than normal with rust as an ice layer usually forms on the blade and I'm not always the best at thawing it back off and oiling right away. But, tromping around the swamps in winter is a blasty blast.

Secondary use would be for the kayak, clearing up briars around a bank or campsite

bikerector bikerector I thought you wouldn't mind if I quoted you in here:

I have one from David in AEB-L... It makes a nice trail maintenance size and the edge retention is much better than the Tramontina I have, which I often end sharpening a time or two in the field... it's been phenomenal for strength and slicing.
