Drop point belt knife that was originally part of a group I made for some combat medics while I was stationed at SOCSOUTH, they had theirs engraved with the medical department logo and SOCSOUTH logo. These are sterile. They wanted a simple hard duty fixed blade that wouldn't take up much space on their kit.
Ground from .156 thick AEBL (RC 61) heat treated and cryo by Peters', with a full flat grind NOT tapered tang, thin edge (~.010 behind the edge). Blade is 3 inches with an OAL of 7 inches. Hand satin finish to 800 grit.
The handle features natural canvas micarta, finished to 320 grit to promote good grip under wet conditions with red fiber liners, stainless steel pins and tubes. Comes in an OD green Kydex sheath with IWB kydex belt loop.
