American Blade Works Model 1 V4, 3.25" S35VN, Marbled Carbon Fiber, LNIP (pouch), rare, never carried, seldom used. A Nick Shebazz "gem." Model 1 is a mid-tech flipper with a liner lock. The blade is S35VN heat-treated and cryogenic-tempered. The blade rides on ceramic caged bearings and hardened stainless thrust washers. Ceramic detent ball. The pivot and pivot screw made from hardened 416 stainless. Titanium liners, backspacer, and pocket clip.
3.25" blade, 4.67" long when closed; 7.9" overall, .12" blade thickness, .50" handle thickness, 3.3 oz. Knife and materials 100% American Made. ABW is a small company that makes knives in small batches.
Purchased new from the maker in 2020 at $235, it has remained in its felt-lined drawer and was never carried.
Carbon fiber scales are darker than some pictures show (reflected light of the marbled carbon fiber). Action is snappy-open with a satisfying sound and shake-shut. Solid lockup. Complete with original pouch (as originals are shipped). Price includes insured priority shipping (ConUS). PP only. No trades. SOLD
