***SOLD***

Put up some more color accurate scans - or at least I'm giving it a try. Note: this stuff doesn't seem to age with time, at least not in the time I've had these anyway.

PRICE DROP

Got some sweet antique gold linen micarta scales - all 5"x1"x3/8" - I've got only none of these scales remaining - got them from Jim "Treeman" Behring a number of years back. These scales were precision cut to specs for Randall Made knife models #10-5 and #10-3 (if I remember correctly), however I originally got them with the idea of slicing them in two for folder scales. This lot was made to match the darker shade of the original aged Westinghouse ivory paper Micarta - and does a very good job of this; being linen micarta, it also takes on a nice layered tone effect (though not as dramatic as the two tone effect of the original Westinghouse material). Asking $10 per pair -- shipping is $4.95 in USPS Priority Mail small flat rate box for up to all the scales that will fit, CONUS only, PayPal instant payment only please (fee included in price) - insurance extra if desired.

RESCAN: Here is a bit more color accurate scan - still not perfect, but much closer.

the thin sheets seem to have a less dramatic color than the scales, is that correct or are they the same color? Thanks

There is a difference, but it's not nearly as large as these scans make it seem. The scales are about as good a color copy of the darker shade in the old Westinghouse aged ivory paper Micarta as I've seen (and of course, you also get a layered appearance from the linen micarta, though you won't get the more dramatic layering of the older aged Westinghouse material). The 1/8" thick pieces are not quite as good a color match to the old material, but still pretty close - basically just a bit less color saturated. I'll try to make some more color accurate scans of these and get them up this evening.

Dropped price on antique gold linen micarta 5"x1"x3/8" scales from $14 per pair to $12 per pair....

Only 10 pair of the antique gold linen micarta scales remaining -- this is all of this material that I have left, period.

Thanks Dwight!,

Received all of the order.

Fellas, the yellow Westinghouse is the real deal deal.
Gonna have to look high and far to find any of this stuff and may up paying a boatload if you find some.

The smaller slabs will be great for folders or smaller/medium fixed blades depending on the design. :)
