Here's a watch I purchased about 10 years ago and just wore a few times....keeps perfect time and looks as new as the day I bought it.
SWISS ARMY Infantry Automatic Watch Silver Dial Model 24696 :
The Swiss Army Infantry Automatic is a classic ......rugged yet sharp looking with a timeless style that will compliment most any daily activity. Nicely crafted with a precision Swiss mechanical self-winding movement...noted for accuracy and meticulous workmanship. Although not a new model to the Swiss Army watch collection, this particular timepiece still remains very popular, and the Infantry Automatic model with the silver dial is sought after and difficult to find because it has been discontinued. I added a rugged brown after-market Hirsch "Liberty" leather strap (stainless buckle).....paired with the silver sunburst dial and EZ-read bold, black numeral the watch has a vintage appearance. Luminous hands, numerals and hour markers. Swiss 38 hour power reserve. Sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment. Stainless steel case. Screw-in mineral crystal exhibition caseback. Date window at the 3 o'clock position. Genuine, rugged Hersch "Liberty" leather strap with contrast stitching. Water resistant to 100 meters. Case width 38mm.
WATCH FEATURES :
I paid $388 for the watch 10 years ago plus an additional $40 for the leather watch band. The Infantry model retails now for $450-$750....yikes!
Some specifics: Watch measures apx 1 1/2" or 38mm across case excluding crown, crown guards and lugs. Width between the lugs is 22mm. Strap length is apx 9 1/2" or 240mm from end to end.
