This is a Bowie style blade that I made for hunting and camping. It is made from 3/16 O1 tool steel and is balanced right at the index finger for amazing control. It has a full flat grind on the 6" blade and an unsharpened swedge. The overall length of the knife is 10 3/4". The handle is made from stabilized buckeye burl with black G10 liner and carbon fiber pins. There is some file work along the spine of the handle to accent the beautiful piece of burl. The swell at the butt of the handle helps extend the grip when chopping or splitting. The front of the handle has a round shape that provides a sure comfortable grip during use while a flat spot on both sides makes it easy to index and control.
The comfort, balance, toughness, and control come together to make this a great all around knife for the outdoorsman. The handle materials give a touch of class that makes it a real eye catcher.
