SOLD Price $275 delivered
I purchased this folder from Barry Dawson in 1984. It is in very good condition and has spent most of its life in a gun safe. It has some very tiny dings at the front of the micarta just from carry it in the past.
It is built like a tank weighing in at 4.8oz. It is well built knife with micarta scales and bead blasted finish overall.
Blade is 3.25" long. Closed 4 1/8".
The blade is not perfectly centered. There is no side play depending on the amount the pivot is tensioned. There a hair of blade rock.
Liners are 440c stainless as well as the blade which is what Barry uses and does very well. Pins are brass as is the thumbstud.
These are difficult to find these days. I took it to Barry and showed him at the Plaza Cutlery show and he confirmed the age and said if he made it today it would be $450-500 cost.
Not many makers were making liner locks in 1984 and this is a good example of what Barry was making at the time.
It comes with a cordura pouch and the original leather sheath. The leather sheath was never used and show signs of the age of a 30 year old sheath. It is included because it is part of the original package
It is 30 years old and would be a good addition to a collection.
