Up for sale today are a ‘pair of jacks’ as a package deal. These knives fit perfectly in your 'watch' pocket, or nice and slim in a slip. I hate to let these go, but I need to thin the herd a little.
Ka-Bar 1026
This two-blade jack knife was made in the USA circa 1966 - 1982 to my knowledge. It has Delrin jigged brown handles with an inlaid 'Kabar' shield. The clip point and pen blades are high carbon stainless steel. Both blades have good snap to half stops, open, and closed. No wobble or play. Bolsters are nickel silver and liners are brass. The main blade is 2 7/8" and the knife is 3" closed. It weighs in at 1.7 oz. It comes with the original box and instructions.
Case 62024 1/2
This is one of my favorite Case patterns going back to the early years of the company. This USA made swell end jack dates to 1965 - 1969. The handles are a pretty bone with no chips or cracks. The clip and pen blades have very good snap at the half stop, open, and closed. The blades are tight. The pen blade has slight up/down movement when fully opened, which I’ve tried to show in the pics. Bolsters are nickel silver, liners are brass.
There are some normal scratches on the pair. No rust. Both were oiled with Tri-flow. Both were sharpened once to 20°.
