For sale is my Jake Hoback Kwaiback Midtech with Jake's custom pivot and clip (with original box) that has been expertly modified by Maprik. I'm moving a lot of knives that did not come direct from the maker and this happens to be one. This is an absolute steal on a knife of this quality but I want to make no money on the sale of this... just asking what I have into it... price is $SOLD... NO TRADES PLEASE. This is far cheaper than other modded Midtech Kwaibacks with custom pivot/clip I've seen.
It is absolutely superb... flips amazingly well and smooth. Detent is perfect. Zero lock stickiness... effortless lock-bar release, and blade falls smoothly. Blade seating is just a hair to the right (no rubbing at all). It has been deep-bronze anodized and then wonderfully stonewashed. The blade has been acid-stonewashed and a wicked edge has been put on it by Maprik. I have not used the blade except to cut a piece of paper to test sharpness. The hardware has a darker bronze finish that has the appearance of aged metal... kind of a rust look. Maprik nailed the mod!
First "I'll take it," plus a PM and prompt payment via PayPal gets it. This is the only place I have this listed for now. The person who buys this will be amazed at how well this knife feels and has been modified. Looks completely custom minus the lack of a backspacer and weight. NOTE: I do not have the original bland hardware. I will ship via USPS Priority Mail insured at my expense. Canadian shipping is $25 extra... sorry, it's pricey to send up there... not responsible once it gets into Canada.
