The Benchmade 690 Elishewitz was the 2001 Knife-of-the-Year in Shooting Industry Magazine. The beautiful Benchmade 690 has long since been discontinued. Serious Benchmade owners know that the Allen Elishewitz designs brought custom features to Benchmade's production knives and have always been solid and appealing. The Benchmade 690 gold models sell for well over $1,000.

This very unusual, pristine Benchmade 690-01 Eagle Scrimshaw is very special with it's Scrimshawed Eagle on ivory and carbon fiber. I have never seen one like it. You can find ivory-carbon fiber 690's but none that have this knife's Eagle.

I believe it was a prototype that Benchmade made and tested but never produced. I have several Gold and other limited editions 690's but this is the only one I have seen that is not marked "690" on the blade. Look under the butterfly, it just says USA.

In addition to the Eagle, the Scrimshaw work is very unique creating an antique look. The Scrimshaw Eagle is stunning. I tried my best to capture it in the pictures. The liners are a bluish color that makes a nice contrast to the Ivory scales. The knife does not come with a box or any kind of packaging or paperwork. It was a unique prototype probably sold at the Benchmade factory store. I wish I knew more of the history of this rare knife.

The price for this one-of-a-kind Benchmade Scrimshaw Eagle with a 154CM satin blade is SOLD shipped 2-day Priority. I'm not looking for trades at this time.

Specs: Blade Length 3.25", Blade Thickness 0.133", Blade Material 154CM, Blade Hardness 58-60HRC, Blade Style Clip-point, Weight 3.00oz

Here is a video of a Benchmade 690 if you have never seen one before.
