The knife is new. I've had it for sometime and there are some handling marks as can be seen in the pictures. I've never cut anything with it. There is a somewhat flawed tooth in the serrated section as can be seen in the pictures. I bought it like this from an authorized dealer and believe it to be just a small factory flaw. The box is a bit dog-eared.
