This is a new self-defense Pocket Spike made by me, Oklahoma knife and tool maker Bill Goodwin. It is based on the design and function of the yawara, an ancient Japanese fighting/self-defense tool. Handmade from reclaimed 19th century hardened tool steel. Has some original patina. Measures 7 1/2" total length, including the solid cocobolo wood pommel. The tool is solid steel. Comes with a wet-formed leather slip sheath. Great defense tool in an emergency situation. Perfect for carrying in a pocket, backpack, glove-box, purse or handbag. SOLD $60 shipped anywhere within the 50 US states and its protectorates. Purchase from my site or contact me at billgoodwin1958@gmail.com

Very nicely done. A most elegant ice pick too, if the need arose.

Thank you. The metal tang goes deep into the wood and is secured with 2500 psi industrial strength epoxy. Would comfortably crush ice among other things.
