Here are a couple of user machetes I made from 1/8" thick ~1080 sawmill blade steel. They have been heat treated and tempered post grinding, and they both exhibited great toughness characteristics in testing on trail clearing and wood processing. The hawkbill is great for trail clearing of small limbs and grass cutting. Bear in mind the handle is a bit on the thin side with it, so a pinch grip is recommended (i.e. the proper technique, according to Joe Flowers!). With it's increased size and momentum, the long machete is surprisingly powerful as a chopper, and yet is still quite manageable for smaller limbs. At 1/8", with tall grind, neither should be expected to baton like a thicker knife, but they can do it in a pinch.

These are not highly finished, but they are comfortable and tough; they are users, and are priced as such.

The hawkbill machete is $OLD including expedited shipping with tracking and insurance.

The long machete is $OLD including expedited shipping with tracking and insurance.

Or I will send both together to the same buyer for $OLD including expedited shipping with tracking and insurance.

I will give priority to the first "I'll take it", and will ship and provide tracking within 24 hours of payment via PayPal G&S.

Thanks for looking!

This is a pic while they were WIP, so you can see the size. The both have 6" handles and the long machete has a ~17" blade, while the hawkbill has ~16".
