Back up for sale is a Lanny's Clip from the renowned slip joint maker Bill Ruple. This is the first Lanny's Clip that Bill made and is marked prototype. The knife is beautiful with dark jigged bone scales with amber showing on the edges. The closed length is right at 4 inches. The perfectly ground blade is 3 inches. Blade has a long pull and the bolster is really nice being fluted and having thread lines. The back spring and liners are file worked. Fit and finish is excellent as you would expect from this maker. Flush in a three positions and nearly centered on close. NOTE: Recent buyer decided that the slight off center condition to the pile side was a problem for him so I offered cancel our deal. Sorry I don't have pictures that show this, although I can e-mail some if interested. For this reason I'm lowering the asking price to below what I paid.
Not the first owner, but I bought it with the seller stating the knife has never been carried or used in any way. I have no reason to doubt that and I have only admired it. This is a great collectable from one of the best.
I’m moving my LC collecting to 3 1/2” size and selling off my large knives. Now asking $800 OBO TYD for this beauty.
Please look at John’s photos for overall condition and let me know if you have questions. In the spine shot the middle one is the Ruple. Will ship by PRIORITY MAIL to U.S.ADDRESSES ONLY.
