Another one forged from 52100 round bar.
I've tried to forge it to fit in Bird 'n trout or nice EDC design, and to keep it good looking and simple.
It is bit bigger then i usually make them, with longer, comfortable handle and almost 5" blade.
Flats are left raw, wet forged and wire brushed after forging.
After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are made in satin finish with scotch brite.
Details:
Overall length - 9,7"
Blade length - 4,7"
Blade width - 1"
Thickness at the back of the spine - 1/8"
Tang is tapered to 3/64" at the end
Knife weight is 4,2oz, and with sheath is 7,9oz
Handle material: End grain Textolite (vintage phenolic micarta), black G10 liners, carbon fiber pins and lanyard tube.
Handmade light brown 4mm thick (0,16") vegetable leather sheath.
