This is one of my compact guardless hunters. It is a full sized utility blade but still quite compact. A good slicer but plenty capable to handle rougher work. Razor sharp edge and very comfortable in hand.

Specs:
Hand forged from 80CrV2 steel with mustard patina
8 3/8" overall length, 4" blade, .195" thick at the ricasso with full distal taper
Rounded spine and ricasso edge
Rounded filed thumb grip
File cut and fullered bronze collar
Premium curly/quilted tiger maple handle, stained black and oil finished
Bronze checkered finial bolt

Price is $OLD

The knife will come with a custom made Claude Scott leather sheath included in the price. A micro fiber towel and padded zipper case are also included. Free shipping to the US. International buyers must pay actual shipping.

Thanks TK. This was plain 'ol French's mustard. I think I might start calling this a 'French Patina'. :) ;)

Wow, thats great looking knife there! That patina looks awesome, I tried few times to force patina with mustard and it looked like crap.

As always, bud - the right elements, and all complement the others to raise a 'simple' 4" hunter way beyond simple. I'd offer to take it, but with my deer hunting track record the last couple years, it would likely never seen use, and that would be a shame. :D

Great one, man. Someone's going to be awfully happy!

Love the French Patina. :D
It will look even better as that bronze ages!

Yeah, you can't buy it for sure. I think I'd have to give it to you...............AND maybe pay you a little to take it. ;) I didn't get much in the way of knife use this season either, for what it's worth.

Thanks man!

Yep....I think that's what I'm gonna call it from now on....or maybe "French Etch".....I like that better. This knife features a 'French Etched' blade. Mustard finish just sounds so low class. :D

When I decided on the blade and handle colors, I deliberated over the fittings....black was in the running but the bronze seemed like a nice way to break up the black. And I agree with you...as soon as the bronze patinas a bit it'll look really good.

Thanks Ben.

"Attaque à l'acide" finish. Hand-applied, of course...

:D

This knife is sold. Thanks for the comments everyone.
