Hey everyone,
For consideration is a Boker Kwaiken from the BladeHQ exclusive run of 600. I sent it to Bower Bladeworks for the flipper mod (check out Kevin's work, he does some great stuff!) It flips perfectly and is extremely smooth (have to love IKBS). The detent is perfect with great handle retention and still excellent flipping action.
I did subdue the bright hunter orange G10 with some black RIT dye and paint, but the paint rubbed off, so the black RIT dye is what has dyed the tiny grooves in the G10. It is actually a bit darker in person than in the picture; I do believe my lighting brought out the bright orange.
The blade has never been used and did come to me with two very small machine marks on spine, toward the tip. I tried my best, but could not get the focus or lighting correct to actually capture these in the photos. I have maybe carried this knife about 10-12 times, so it is in wonderful condition, factory edge, sharp and pointy. Lock-up has been at 50% since I received it.
