Hello all,
Today I have for sale for you my Boos Blades Smoke TM-1 in M390 steel. The blade is sharp, only used a handful of times and I only carried this knife about 4 days total that I have had it. The centering is solid and the blade has no side to side play. The action is great and it drops shut with a bit of a nudge. Please read info below before posting.
This knife came to me from another forum member, he was a really great guy and very upfront about the knife he was selling. This knife has the slightest hint of lockrock, I'm very OCD and it really takes a lot for me to notice, as it is the slightest hint of it. The knife came that way from the factory. It does not affect the performance or safety of the knife in any way possible and as I said, you really have to be wiggling it hard up and down to notice the slightest lock rock.
I also want to note, with my lack of judgment, I attempted to anodize the scales, backspacer, and pocket clip, which turned out okay, but definitely not good enough to keep. During this process, I etched the titanium too long and it no longer has the original gray stonewash look, even in its bare titanium form. It will take on snail trails and scratches to the titanium. I took off the anodizing I had before posting this. From this etching, the backspacer began to show a dusty hard type substance within the little cutouts. Because I couldn't stand that, I sanded it the cutouts and top of the backspacer with 320 grit sandpaper and the backspacer now has a satin look to it, as shown in photos. It definitely isn't perfect, but is an improvement to what was there prior.
The blade has NOT been altered in any way whatsoever, same factory edge it had prior. Knife comes with all original packaging and box.
