I own one of these, and the mini, and I'll just say don't give up on front flippers yet. The scales are very narrow on these Smokes and it's one of the trickier front flippers to use. Liner locks are good for getting the hang of front flippers because you don't have to worry about having any pressure on the lock bar and the size of the sides/scales makes a big difference. Something like the W.E./Drop Bull Muira, Lundquist de L'orme, Lundquist Eidolon, Reate Tribute, Reate Bushido, and the highly underrated WingmanEDC MTNT Mach-1 (and Mach-3 but it's about twice the office of the Mach-1) are great and ready knives to get used to front flipping. I didn't like the first front flipper I ever had and almost said I would never try one again, but after buying an UrbanEDC Justin Lundquist Baby Barlow I got used to using my index finger to open it and quickly fell in love with front flippers. That was like 2 or 3 years ago and now I have several custom front flippers and loads of production front flippers. I'd say that's pretty much all I buy and carry nowadays. The WingmanEDC MTNT Mach-1 & Mach-3 ate one of the most fidget friendly knives I've ever had. I can open it so many different ways. Don't give up on front flippers yet. Again, the Boos Smoke definitely is one of the tougher front flippers to use, especially if that's your first front flipper.
