This one is forged from 1095 bar, and differential heat treated with clay.
I call it chopper, but it can be easily called cleaver.
It feels great in hand. It's tested on some oak branches, after that on deer antler and it works great.

There is vinegar etched nice and subtle hamon, but i can't catch it with my phone camera.
Guard is forged and polished with hammer marks. Flats are left raw, just wire brushed after forging. Bevels are finished with 1500 grit and steel wool.
For handle material i used nice piece of stabilized Mappa burl (European Black poplar)

Details:

Overall length - 16""
Blade length - 10,5"
Blade width - 2[SUP]1/4[/SUP]"
Thickness at the back of the spine - 23/64"
Tang is tapered to 3/64" at the end
Balance point is 3" in front of the handle

Knife itself weights 26,3oz, and with sheath it's 36,8oz

For handle material i used stabilized Mappa burl (European Black poplar), black G10 liners, brass pins and lanyard tube.

Handmade 13/64" thick vegetable leather sheath, made for right hand vertical carry.
