Blade was forged from 1095 bar.
It is differential heat treated, and etched in lemon acid to reveal nice hamon.

I tried to achieve aged look of the blade. Bevels are hand polished with 2500 grit and flats are left "brute de forge". Guard is forged and polished with visible hammer marks, but feels smooth in the hand.
Nice two tone piece of textolite (vintage phenolic micarta) is used for the handle.
Black G10 is used for liners, and carbon fiber for pins.

Details:

Overall length - 13,5"
Blade length - 7,7"
Blade width - 1,65"
Thickness at the back of the spine - 9/64"
Tang is tapered to 3/64"

Knife itself weights 10 oz, and with sheath is 17,3 oz

Handmade 4mm thick (0,16") vegetable leather sheath, made for right hand vertical carry.

I got the last one and it's awesome.....balances at the guard and is not only extremely sharp but it's extremely fast in-hand plus the sheath/leather-work is superb.....the 'complete package'.

I'm glad you like it. Thank you very much!

I'll take this please if she's still available!
OK. Thank you.

Very nice looks, kind of reminds me of the French field knives used in the US.
A frog might not be 100% authentic, but all the more useful. :-)

Thank you. It maybe looks like some of French trade knives, but it wasn't my intention. Just wanted to make it look bad-ass and to be well balanced :)

Dalibor, you sir have achieved bad-assery here for certain. I think the frog stud is a classy touch, but I'm so happy you sewed the belt loop on as well. I do see some French trade knife, but an Apache warrior got a hold of this one, looked up Dalibor on Bladeforums, & asked him to transform it into a stylish, lightning fast killing machine.

I just can't get over the aesthetics...the etching really puts it over the top for me, & you always house your knives in the most thoughtful, well made sheaths - so happy I was able to grab this!

Oh, and Dawkind, mine's better than yours is!!!

I'm sure you'll like it more when you see it in person :)
