Blade was forged from 1095 bar.
It is differential heat treated, and etched in lemon acid to reveal nice hamon.

I tried to achieve aged look of the blade. Bevels are hand polished with 2500 grit and flats are left "brute de forge". Guard is forged and polished with visible hammer marks, but feels smooth in the hand.
Nice piece of deer antler is used for the handle. Antler soft parts are sealed with epoxy resin.
Black G10 is used for liners, and brass for pins. Pins and lanyard tube are hammered

Details:

Overall length - 9,8"
Blade length - 4,7"
Blade width - 2" at the widest part
Thickness at the back of the spine - 9/64"
Tang is tapered to 3/64"

Knife itself weights 8,64 oz, and with sheath is 14 oz

Handmade 4mm thick (0,16") vegetable leather sheath, made for right hand vertical carry.

Beautiful as per usual. Although I think two is enough for now. ;-)
Putting the latest touches on my plans for the cutlery. Will try to mail you one of the next days.

Beautiful, functional knife! I really like the way the scales have that palm swell.-KV

Thank you. I'm sure cutlery will be fun to work on.

Thank you. Scales fit perfectly in hand. I had that piece of antler just waiting for the knife like this.
