In the world of contemporary knife making over the last forty years, three makers Buster Warenski, Bill Moran and Bob Lovelass have earned the legendary status enjoyed by their predecessors such as Bo Randall and Bill Scagel. Sadly these gifted and acclaimed knife artisans have all passed on leaving a legacy of excellence in steel. After studying with Gil Hibben and Harvey Draper, Buster Warenski became a full-time knifemaker in 1975. Buster went on to be elected president of the Knifemakers' Guild for 2 terms and was voted into the Cutlery Hall of Fame.

In 1976 Buster made a very small number of miniature knives he called his Classic .5 Series. Each of these mini masterpieces is a perfect 1/2 scale renditions of a historically significant designs of Bowie knives or San Francisco style daggers. No two designs were alike and, like most of Buster's work, each one of Warenski's Classic .5 Series is a one of a kind. This Classic .5 English Bowie style mini measures seven inches overall and features a 4 1/2” full tang, a flat ground, mirror polished stainless steel blade with a 2 7/8” sharpened false edge and file work. The handle is beautiful Sambar Stag with a silver escutcheon shields.
