This looks like an S grind of the kephart. I adore my kephart, I almost jumped on this knife!
You are correct. I took my Kephart profile and brought the tip up about 80 thou and added 100 thou to the height of the blade. The first .4" from the edge has the same Geometry as my Kephart edge (8.5 deg inclusive primary bevel with 40 deg inclusive secondary bevel. With the S grind relief behind the primary bevel, it just has a little less resistance when slicing.
