Experimental piece here, this one will be lots of fun for someone at an affordable price. I call it the Speed Gladius because it is more machete than sword, being light and flexible, but shaped reminiscent of a gladius. Oh so nimble and sharp, this one is ground extremely thin - it's not a hard use chopper, but a very fast and nimble brush clearing, or martial hack and slash tool. Due to the thinness and flexibility, it is not for thrusting applications. Made from 15N20, which is seriously underrated for its toughness and fine edge stability.
Specs
Steel: 5/64" 15N20, ~58-59 RC
Geometry: Dual chiselvex grind.
Overall Length: 19 3/4"
Cutting Edge Length: 12 1/2"
Weight: 13.2 oz, 20.4 oz with sheath
Handle: Contoured G10, comfortable, and finished to a good grip, it is not slippery at all.
Sheath: Boltaron pancake sheath compatible with Tek Lok.
SOLD
Thanks for looking!
