Just completed this set of engraver's / machinist's tools...the mallet is hand turned brass / red oak designed for work that requires more finesse than power, it can be held by the handle or used with the head cradled in your palm, allowing you to more precisely control the force of blows. Palm swell turned oak handle is stout, comfortable and smooth...Overall length is 7" with a total weight of 4.6 ozs. Head to shaft connection is hidden all-thread through bolt....
The hammer has a turned, solid brass head also with a turned red oak handle secured by friction and walnut tension wedge...Overall length is 7 1/4" long weighing in at 9.4 ozs....
Both are finished with original "Tried & True" giving a smooth, comfortable feel in the hand...No disappointments.
