Offering up another one of my reconditioned genuine Cattaraugus 225-Q combat fighters from WWII. These were made between 1943 and 1945. They were given out to all servicemen as expendables and used for every purpose imaginable. Its hard to find one in decent condition, (see last pic). This one had a full blade. It looked like someone put it up on a shelf in a dusty garage in the sheath and forgot about it. The sheath looked great but was so dry it crumbled. The blade had rust but mostly on the surface, nothing too deep. After cleaning the blade up it was left with some staining and light pitting giving it a genuine aged patina. The blade is 3/16" thick 1095 steel. I put a new leather washer handle on it and left it natural. This one has the original and rare red fiber spacers. The originals came with a left handed sheath so a side arm or other equipment could be worn on the right side. This sheath is a reproduction that I made. It is right handed. The sheath has been treated with mink oil, inside and out. These are great knives, built very well. Makes an excellent using knife or fine collectible. SOLD. Paypal or USPS money order. Shipping is free within the US, its territories and protectorates. E-mail can be sent to billgoodwin1958@gmail.com Thanks for looking.
