Blade length: 240mm (9.449")
Blade height: 100mm (3.937")
Spine thickness in front of the handle: 2mm
Carbon blade
Wood handle
This is the largest size Sangdao (thin slicing cleaver) CCK makes. I ordered it from Hong Kong as no stateside online retailers seem to carry this size.
Used only a couple times for veg prep.
Lacquer coating has been stripped from the blade. Very light patina forming.
Handle has been smoothed with 600 grit sandpaper.
Edge has been thinned out. Comes with a sharp 6k waterstone edge.
Ground thin behind the edge, slices great.
Typical nice CCK fit and finish.
Of note: the factory edge came with a slightly overground spot about 3 inches from the tip. I sharpened most of it out but you can just barely see light coming through a ~1" spot when holding the edge perpendicular to the board. I haven't noticed any food "accordioning" as a result, and it shouldn't take much work sharpen it level.
