The Magnum Tanto model 13M had an 8 3/4″ blade in “400 series stainless”, fittings in 300 series stainless and ws the first Tanto to have the full guard shaped like the “Tsuba” (guard) on a Japanese sword. This Magnum Tanto is unique in that unlike other and later Tantos, it has chamfering- a raised spine ridge, rather than a flat spine top. This is a Knife from my private collection and purchased new by me. I never carried, used or sharpened the knife. I bought it when I was in the military but cannot recal when, but I know it is sometime from late 80's to early 90's (Maybe one of you knife experts can tell me).
Overall in the knife is in great condition, with no particular scratches (maybe minor lines from going in and out of the sheath), no marks or abrasions on blade. The sheath supplied with its own original leather sheath stamped "Japan" on the back is in good condition with no major scratches and just some spots of brown showing on the edges as show in the photos. These will go away wih some shoe polish and TLC.
