SOLD - Cold Steel Recon 1 Regrind Plus

Cold Steel Recon 1 Spear Point DLC S35VN, with the following mods:

Full height flat-vex grind, satin blade and tang, ~.025" behind the edge, neutral handle that allows grip closer to the cutting edge, swapped small slotted side of thumb stud for larger Voyager thumb stud. Removed (most of) the coating from the clip, sanded under clip. Re-etched blade with "Regrind" mark, and "S35VN" mark. Removed coating from the exposed part of the lock bar and back spacer. Handle butt slightly shortened and rounded, to increase overall perceived blade length to handle length ratio.

Basically, I made all the mods that I would want if I were to keep this for myself as a versatile hard use folder. Lock up is every bit as strong as factory, and action is smooth. If you thought the Recon 1 was comfortable, and a good cutter before, wait 'til you try this one!

Very nice work. Did that particular Recon start out with a black blade?

Thanks! Yes it did as a matter of fact. The other difference between this one and yours is that this one started out and remained as a spear point, and yours started as a tanto before going all Military. Speaking of which, how is yours holding up?

That knife has been in my EDC rotation since I got it from you. Its been holding up great!! That is one slicey blade you made!!
